Jens Ekornes was a Scandinavian furniture designer and innovator in the 1930s about who has founded several companies offering different lines of mattresses and furniture. I've always been fascinated by the Scandinavian furniture design and in 1930 there was an innovative man named Norway, Jens Ekornes. He started from humble beginnings, but would soon become his small store of Norway, who made of spring steel components in several plants across Europe in 50 years. This article examines the results of Jens Ekornes and his place in the Norwegian furniture design.
Norway is located in the so-called Scandinavia, consisting of Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. The area has a rich history dating back to Europe. Scandinavia was much sought after as well as the resources of a strategic area and has offered farmers and fishermen. Many of us, when we think of Norway may conjure up images of Norse gods and Viking explorers. Jens Ekornes was born in 1908 and is considered a legend of the company in Norway. Many industry professionals and entrepreneurs during their time struggling to be associated with him, partly because of his contacts in manufacturing and retailing and the success he had earned by his various efforts. Jens Ekornes started his industrial career building components steel springs for mattress manufacturers in the 30 mid-and thus became the process that has participated in trade shows to better understand what is built and how it could move into manufacture their own products.
